Crucial 256MB PC2100 DDR RAM For $44, No Rebate!

Postby BuddhaTB on Fri Jan 31, 2003 4:04 am

Newegg has the Crucial 256MB PC2100 (266 MHz) DDR RAM for $44. The price also includes free FedEx shipping and you don't even have to deal with a rebate, which makes this offer even better. :D Crucial RAM is made by Micron, which is one of the top memory manufacturers in the world. Better act on this deal now if you need RAM, because this deal may end any day.

Newegg.com is a very trusted online store, so there should be no problems ordering from them. They have very good service.

Googlegear.com has the same RAM on sale for $42 shipped. Memory is cheap now, so get some while you can! 512MB of Micron PC2100 DDR266 RAM is as low as $76.

Both of these are awesome deals, especially the 512MB PC2100 module.

Damn, I just bought some sticks of Corsair PC3200. I might have to buy some of this memory for my older systems though.

I pondered building another system...it's cheap as hell! I just put together a very nice P4 2.4GHz system for ~$500.

Intel Pentium 4 2.4GHz Processor with 533FSB & 512KB Cache
Intel D845PEBT2 Motherboard supports PC2700 DDR333 RAM and Serial ATA
512MB Nanya PC2700 DDR333 RAM
ATI Radeon 8500 128MB DDR RAM Video Card (the original built by ATI model, not an OEM model powered by ATI)

I tell ya, eBay is great for finding deals. Take a look at this: P4 2.53GHz processor & D845PEBT2 motherboard combo for $189! Granted, there are three days left in the auction, but only one other bidder so far! You simply can't beat deals like this!

I have been watching the price of the Crucial PC2100 256MB on Newegg drop from $65 over the past week or two... waiting for the right time to buy. Saw it drop from $46 to $44 last night. Then today, it jumped up to $48! Doh! Still a good deal.

Not surprisingly, Googlegear.com raised their price to $48 as well. That's why you should do it eeeeeeeeeeeeebayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy! :)

By the way, no, I don't work for eBay.

eBay is the best place to find deals on anything. You gotta check it on a daily basis and read the descriptions carefully. But sometimes, I do see items won for too much like TDK and Lite-On 48x CD-RW drives going for upwards of $60-$70. You can find them for much cheaper at Newegg or Googlegear.

Yup, some people do pay too much on eBay. In addition to checking daily and reading the descriptions, I would add that you should be patient when shopping on eBay. Don't be in a rush to buy anything on eBay, wait for a few auctions of the same item to pass if the prices are too high for you. Eventually you will get lucky and find the item for the exact price you want or less.
