What did i do to get this and how can i prevent it??

C and D drive: 200gig SATA on Intel ICH5R
E and F drive: 40gig and 80gig 7200RPM
C drive is OS, image was on drive F
Is the prob similar to buffer underrun where the data from drive F isn't getting to the burner cuz of drive C being the system drive??
