DRU-720A problems. Need help

Postby nazariev on Sun Apr 03, 2005 10:01 pm

I used to have Sony DRU-510A and it worked for me good enough. But it's got broken and I per Sony sale person advice bought DRU-720A. First of all I never worried about media before, so I had cheapest one (Nero test is showing name of media manufacturer as “YiJhan 001”), which worked fine with dru-510a, but with 720A every second I'm throwing away. I set up speed testing before burning and verifying and as result it's burning slower then my old one. And last problem that end of burnings (last songs, if it audio cd or last video files, if it's video) is corrupted very often. Do I have to return this burner and buy another one? Do I have to just get rid of my cheap media and buy certain media for this drive? I appreciate any advice. I have couple week before I can return it.
Thanks in advance!

Get better media for sure. Look out for Maxell, Verbatim or Taiyo Yuden discs.
