We tested ricoh DVD+R DL 2.4x medias at various DVD writer encluding 1640/4163/108 and find out it has problem with playback at LG DVD Player A956 - released 4-5 years ago
I burned around 20 of Ricoh and 10 of mitsubishi(Verbatim) DL medias. For each test I varied burning software (Nero, DVDFab, Copy2DVD) and it showed different playback quality for each one.
anyway.... the bottom line is the ones with copytodvd run well. Nero and DVDFab did not work. some of nero's could not be read. others got some skip or not supported Jog Wheel control.
and i got the same results from both ricoh and mitsubishi DL media.
