Editing firmware for DVD-R/RW drives

Postby Gorgeous_One on Sun Jul 13, 2003 9:08 am

Hello.
Can someone to help me find information about:
firmware for dvd drives (general information: what consist, how represent and etc)
possibility of "manual" editing firmware (inserting code of unsupported dvd media or moding exist) (for example, my Pioneer A05 writes media TDK 47S on1X, my friend's old A03 (!) - on 2X and ofcourse I'd like to fix it). And by the way, what is writing strategy?

Thank You for your attention
With best regards

There are, widely available, hacked versions of the 105/A05 firmware that will allow you to successfully write any old junk at 2x, including all that nasty fake-Maxell and fake-TDK rubbish being farted out of Chinese factories!!
