I don't know who's worse.. the hackers, the spammers or the anti-spammers. I'd have to say the anti-spammers.

Yeah, this seems to have come from gamingxtreme.net. I caught it early on when they started created accounts. I should have locked and banned them right away.

They came from multiple hosts too:
218.62.42.115
210.100.171.194
211.215.21.163
203.248.232.26

I'm going to call the owner of gamingxtreme.net and see wtf is going on.

So tell us what happened, Ian. You mentioned some email that went out this morning...

Someone with admin access forgot to change their password after the last hack attempt. Essentially the guy logged in and sent out an email. Simple as that.

The worst part is that people are getting really pissed by his emails, which is totally understandable. What isn't understandable is stuff like this, where anti-spammers retaliate, filling up the forum with crap.

Stuff like this makes me want to throw in the towel.. then again, that might be the reason for all of this. Some websites aren't too happy that we're still around.

Just give me the names and addresses of the individuals and I will handle this Jay and Silent Bob style. If I get the list today, I should have it taken care of by Monday.

I'm not gonna get into it here.

Jamie, if I had them I'd do it myself.

Ian, i don't understand.

that Russian guy who hacked into the forum and mailed those emails to users, OK.

but how's that related to today's spamming? i don't get the connection.

anyway, why would those guys at gamesxposed.com or gamingxtreme.net would want CDRLabs out of business ?

I get the replies to that stuff the Russian sent out. From the replies I've gotten, I don't think that they understand that it was sent out by a hacker. They think CDRLabs sent it out, advertising that website. These gaming guys probably joined our forum at one time and got the emails and figured they'd retaliate. That's all.

dolph, I did. There was no phone number for the guy. Just a hotmail address. I've emailed him, but I doubt I'll get a response considering its very likely he knew about it, if he didn't do it himself.

Ian, when you find these guys let me know and we'll just take them South of the Border and they'll disappear without a trace.

Hi everybody! As most of us know there has been spamming going on with my email. Im very sorry about this, I have been in conflict with GamesXposed and they are trying to frame me to get me in trouble, so far they have destroyed my phpBB forum with what ever there useing. Why did they use there own name for spamming, I have no idea, maybe so they dont suspect them or something but why ever there idiots ans I hope the complaints that were sent by IAN and I, the host will take action against this.

I have spoken with the admin and we agree to put our differences aside after I threatend to contact his ISP. Im on so very sorry to all the members and staff here about this situation, I hope this will put an end to all this.

Yeah, I talked to Sniper about this and I'm following up with GamesXposed's provider.. which is oddly the same one as ours (The Planet). Considering they're also distributing warez through their forum, it should be interesting.
