Promise makes RAID cards. RAID cards alow more IDE hard drives (I don't think you can put CD drives on a RAID), without RAID you can only have the basic four drives (2 on each IDE cable)

Promise RAID cards on Newegg:

General RAID cards on Newegg:

Although you specified RAID card in the title of your thread, you don't need a RAID controller card. A simple IDE controller will do, and you will find they are much less expensive. Here are some choices:

Promise:
Ultra66 - $23
Ultra100 - $29
Ultra133 - $36

Siig:
Ultra66 - $21
Ultra100 - $28
Ultra133 - $38
