Help LG CED-8120B

Postby rwgo on Sat Jun 21, 2003 6:04 pm

I have flashed my LG CED-8120B with wrong firmware and now it isn't working. It is not possible to flash the CD-RW drive again with the correct firmware version. Any idea what to do? Some people tell me to search for a chip on the drive's PCB to flash on a external programmer.
Thanks.

How did you flash the wrong firmware onto it?

Mktflash is a tool with which you can flash firmware of your drives.I have read on the MftFlash site that it may revive dead drive. You may try using it if you get the firmware for your drive in *.bin format.
See this site-http://www.firmware-flash.com.I dont exactly remember the URL for MftFlash but you will get som information on the site above.
See ya later,

There is no official mtkflash site, but there are a few sites dedicated to it.
Mine has lots of versions, but I'll admit, the explanation is very brief: http://dhc014.rpc1.org/mtkflash.htm
