help - OptoRite DD0401 8x DVD±RW

I have purchase this OPTORITE DVD RW DD0401, but this driver do not read/write CD and CD-RW writing for me in another machine.
Read something DVD single or dual layer and CD writing from Industry (type CD from Instalacion Mother Bord).
I have upgrade the firmware to 1.60 but this problem exist.
What is this problems ?

Two words: crap drive.

I had it too, but sold it off, because it was pretty much useless for anything else except dvd scanning.
