Help Plextor 716A

Hallo everybody
I am new in this forum and new also with DVD Burnners
I just botht The Plextor 716A
But i have a problem with the plextools
i can not change the GigaRec
if i dont have any dvd in i can see the option and change it
when i put a dvd+r it turns back to off and i canot see the option anymore so i canot cange it
Please Ineed some help

GigaRec is an option for recording 1 GB of data to CD-Rs. Put a blank CD-R in the drive, then it will let you adjust the values.
