CDRLabs has taken an in depth look at Plextor's new 128GB solid state drive, the PX-128M1S. This MLC-based SSD utilizes Marvell's "Da Vinci" 88SS8014-BHP2 controller chip and is capable of delivering up to 130MB/s sequential read and 70MB/s sequential write speeds. The PX-128M1S also features 64MB of on-board cache as well as Plextor's unique wear leveling and garbage collection technologies.
