I'm not sure if you guys watch How It's Made on the Discovery Channel, but they have an episode showing how compact discs (CD's) are made.

100,000 per day in just one factory, and I thought 3 minutes a cd at home was pretty fast.

I've seen this done in person, it's pretty cool :D
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R
