I just bought the Memorex yesterday and have been perusing this board for the past hour about this writer. I'm trying to find out what I can do to improve it. Correct if I'm wrong..So this Memorex is an OEM Lite-On and is an exact hardware version of the LTR-48246S and exact firmware (with the exception of the firmware labeling)? So basically the same performance right? (no need to download Lite-On's 48x firmware)
And what are my options as to making it faster? (And how to do it)
I know it might speed up burning by 10-20sec, but if you can do it for free, why not?
