JUNK DVDS?

Postby gbono2 on Sun Jun 26, 2005 5:15 pm

Ok folks, I'm new to this dvd stuff. I need some opinions. i have 2 different spindles of blank dvds.
The first spindle is Memorex dvd+r, 8x, 4.2 gb. It has a mfg. id.: cmc mag & media type id e01.
The second spindle is Staples house brand dvd+r, 8x, 4.2 gb. It has a mfg. id.: mbipg101; mfg. name: moser baer india; media type id: r04

Now, my question - is this stuff junk?

I've had good and bad Memorex CMCMAGE01 media.... so I can't say for that one. I have almost no experience with MBIL stuff so I can't help there either.

But the Memorex for sure can go either way

MBI discs are quite decent too. DOn't overspeed them, keep them at their rated speeds. Some can have PO spikes toward the end though.
