Lite-On 52246S Error 5% at burning

Hey guys,

I was burning few cd's and suddenly the last burning got stuck on 5%.
I tried another cd, and a different kind too, but still I get the same message.
I even re-installed WindowsXP and get the same msg.

any ideas what's the problem?

I also noticed that WinXP can't recognize the drive as CD-RW, only as a CD-ROM,
so I updated the firmware from 6S0D to 6S0F and it works now. I think.
