MaxMax branded media...crap?

Postby radiokid on Mon Aug 02, 2004 7:20 am

Hi, I just came across this ad at eBay offering cheap MaxMax DVD-R manufactured by GigaStoragehttp://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=11161&item=5111955016

I am going to buy 2 spindles If I get neutral feedback from you guys but I will buy 4 if I get positive review from you guys. What do you think?

Im sorry for the people who hate buying DVDs on ebay; ill take my chances.

Thanks.
P.S. Please reply fast cos Im itching to buy these babies.

A lot of burners seem to have issues with Gigastorage discs. My Pioneer DVR-107 seems to burn their 8x media ok, but many other drives couldn't. I have no experience with their 4x media, but I would not recommend it based on my experience with their 8x discs.

What about MaxdataDVD-R? They are supposed to be Sony manufacturers with AZO.

MaxData DVD-R is also reported to be Gigastorage on Videohelp.com media database.
