memorex 52x burner and xp

I'm new here...hoping you can help....

Have a 52x burner from memorex....and winxp pro with sp 1.

Can use no burning software other than nero and roxio...because xp won't see my cdrw as a ...cdrw.....installed aspi already....any help please?

Does the software you're trying to use even support that drive?

How about giving us some more info.. like the names of the software that doesn't work and their versions.

That's simple....NOTHING works save Nero and Roxio

that is...disk juggler.....clone cd...cdrwin...etc....

they do NOT work

no firmware available from memorex either

Make sure that your IDE cable is secured onto your burner and your motherboard.

If you are using "cable select" on your burner, here's one word of friendly advice: don't. Select either "master" or "slave" for your burner (depending on your computer's configuration).
