Simpily from various test a few of my friends and I have performed and from a ton of research. I should revise that though. They both have the same writing quality (I've used both DVD-R and DVD+R to archive data), I just think that DVD-Rs compatability bests DVD+R (which I think of in quality terms). If anything, I'm picking a side hoping that this stupid format war will end, which will hopefully equal lower DVD media prices
