NEC ND3530 release

Does anybody know when the ND3530 (+RW 8x -RW 6x) will be released and when the current ND3520 will be discontinued ?

I think the ND-3530A has been renamed the ND-3540A. NEC Germany officially unveiled the drive a week or two ago, so I'd expect it to start hitting store shelves in the next month or so.

if they discontinue the 3520 without even releasing 1 firmware upgrade ill be very mad

NEC has been really bad with releasing too many different drives with minor changes lately... :evil:
Punch Cards -> Paper Tape -> Tape Drive -> 8" Floppy Diskette -> 5 1/4" Floppy Diskette -> 3 1/2" "Flippy" Diskette -> CD-R -> DVD±R -> BD-R
