I remember reading posts in here about possible 56x36x56x or 52x32x52x CD burners and maybe 20x DVD-ROM drives coming out but I haven't heard when. LG is doing a 48x24x48x16x CD burner/DVD-ROM combo. I think Lite-On is doing a CD Burner/DVD-ROM combo.

I emailed them and they said it's shipping now to the distrubuters. I guess that means retail stores and online stores. The drive isn't on their web site yet. However I have changed my mind about a combo drive since I have two drive bays and I want Lite-On's 16x DVD-ROM and 52x CD burner.

The Plextor combo is out. They have a 20x10x40x12x combo. I am not sure if Plextor plans on a 48x24x48x16x combo. LG also has a 32x10x40x16x combo out now. Its out of stock at Buy.Com www.newegg.com has good prices also.

Probably 2mb. Because their one that is out now has 2mb. It is too soon to tell about any information on the drive since it just came out.
