Burn baby burn!

Identify CDRW drive

Hi everyone,

I post this because I believe that it will be helpful for everyone (not just me)

As far as I know, each manuf. has it own burning technology:
Liteon-> Smartburn
Plextor->BURN-proof

That's all I know. Can you guy post all the info for:

Superlink
Justlink
and many others

This way we will be able to identify our drive easier.

samsung 352 DVD ripping speeds

i am thinking about buying a new dvd rom for ripping movies. I figured I might as well get a combo drive so I could burn multiple cds at once. How is the dvd movie ripping on this drive? I was going to buy the lite on combo but it burns at 48x max. Is Lite on coming out with a 52x32x52x16 drive anytime soon as I love liteons.But my main concern as I already ...

Lite-On LTR-48246S can only rip at 16x

Hi all,

just got this drive last week. when tried to rip audio CDs (with MusicMatch) the maximum speed was 16x. i tried with AudioCentral (comes with the Easy CD Creator), same thing happened. i checked the DMA settings, and it's enabled. is there any other settings that i should've checked, in order to get the 48x ripping capabilities as stated in drive specs??? the drive doesn't have any problem burning...it even can reach 49x. ...

MSI CR52-M

MSI has some more information on their new 52/32/52 CD-RW on their website.

I really like the LED's. The eject button lights up bright blue.

They're finally learning too. They have a list of recommended media. No 32x CD-RW media listed though. :cry:

Copy Protected

Hiya all

me wanna asking some questions

what program to use if me want to protect my cd from copying?

the situation is like this:
i want to burn some vcd, and i want this vcd only can play, but cannot copy to pc (in Windows Explorer) unless using CloneCD, or other similar program
so how could i protect that vcd? with what program?

could it also works is a non-vcd CD?

Nero Overburn

Hi

I am having problems overburning in Nero.

I have some 870MB CDR disks and have a Samsung 332B CDR CDRW DVD, which supports overburning.

Even tho in File > Preferences > Expert Featrues > ENABLE OVERBURN on, and in Preferences > General Yellow Marker 74 and Red 101 : 59 : 74.

When I click burn, Nero says that I have not got enough disk space and that my disk size is only 700MB. ...

SAMSUNG SM352B COMBO + SONY 500AX DVD WRITER

HI,

I HAVE INSTALLED IN MY PC, THE ABOVE UNITS,
I HAVE SET THE SAMSUNG TO MASTER AND THE SONY
TO SLAVE, THIS IS BECAUSE I WILL BE USING THE 52 SPEED
SAMSUNG WRITER MORE OFTEN THAN THE SONY WRITER PLUS
THE CD ROM FUNCTION BEING A COMBO.
BOTH UNITS ARE ON THE SAME RIBBON, THE OTHER IS MY
HARD DRIVE, WHICH I HAVE BEEN TOLD TO LEAVE THIS
ON IT,S OWN.
