News of CD-R/CD-RW Drives

1) After over 7 months and several official complaints etc. (although I think CompUSA decided to resolve the issues and help ALL those who complain - not just me), I got my $100 giftcard today :) (not quite cash, but I am sure I'll find something- I spent $200 in the last 2 weekends alone there).

Anybody seen media fitting this description? I have searched around my area and can either come up with 4x 700mb or 10x 650mb media, but I can't find this combo. The reason I want them is that I like to burn VCD's to CD-RW first to make sure I got a successful VCD and then copy to CD-R so as not to waste CD-R's. But since all my CD-R's are 700mb, I either have to ...

I am having problems, I the above mentioned drive on my computer but none of my software recognizes that it is a cdrw drive and I can't select it as an option to burn cd's? I'm running a Dual athlon xp 1800 system on a tyan s2466N-4m mobo with 768 megs of ram. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I just got my new pc (p4 2.0GHZ, 40bg hd, 512mb ram) and my lg burner does not burn nearly at 40x. it takes sometime like 5 to 8 min to burn a cd. im using 32x cds, they all work, but take to long to be made. How can i speed the burner up? I have checked the lg canada site but theres nothing execpt specs for my burner.
