My 2.1 GHz Athlon XP 2600+ desktop PC with FIC model AM37 mobo (Award BIOS v6.00PG, Rev. AM37308 12/16/2002/KM266-.......) is having lock-ups; this seems to have started after I got a new wireless USB adapter (went to wireless G from wireless B).
I used to have a Belkin wireless 802.11B USB adapter and the PC was fine.

I bought a Motorola WU830G wireless G USB adapter and it seems that this is when the PC ...

ok, i was at a local computer store this weekend and i saw a sempron 2200+ w/motherboard for $55.00 and celeron 2.2ghz w/motherboard for $70.00 they were both on clearance. i really don't know who made the motherboards but they both had onboard everything except the sempron w/board had a AGP slot and the celeronw/board did not have any AGP slots.

is the celeron that much better or is it worth getting the sempron? i ...

I bought a few music CDs today. (I usually play them on my old Hitachi DVD player, and use my fairly old LiteOn burner only for burning.) Hi guys.I have just got the ADSL connection,2 MBps.Really feeling good.But I have some problems,and I need help very badly.
I have the Huawei SmartAX MT880 ADSL router with firmware date July 16 2004.I have searched the Huawei site in vain for latest firmware.I finally got a April 2005 firmware from Bittorrent.But I am not sure of the source.

I have configured the router as PPPoE and I have configured a dialer to use it ...

I currently have Amd 2500+ barton core . I'm thinking of going to a Amd64 3000+ venice core. Would I be looking at a performance boost? I know there might be better options out there ,but I'm trying to keep cost down. Any advise would be appreciated.

OK, just got me a brand spanking new S754 Athlon 64 3700+. Now I need a video card. Main games: Far Cry (64-bit version!), Doom 3, Painkiller. Maybe BF2 soon.

PCI-E or AGP...doesn't matter (haven't got the mobo yet so can go nF3 or nF4).

I'm thinking a 6800GT ($284). It right around the price range I want and should be plenty fast. And fairly cheap thanks to the 7800GTX ...

Just in general, should I go to Dell or HP for a laptop? Please vote based on best performance & price to performance ratio.
