oh dear, I am having huge problems. PLease excuse me if this doesn't completely make sense - I am not terribly compuiter literate. I just installed a new cdrw drive because my other one was fried when my power supply went kaput. It is a Sony cd-rw crx185E3. I've always used free software with my other burner - most recently mp3 doctor but now I have Nero 5.5. I've upgrade to the newest version so ...
I am tryign ot burn the .iso files from Redhats web site for linux and I keep getting could not perform fixation error when i try to burn with my Yamaha F1 and TDK 48x drive. Any ideas?
I've been using the Nero that came with my Liteon drive and updated it to ver. 5.5.90.17. Thing is, I couldn't seem to close a CD-R even when I already checked 'No multisession' and 'Finalize CD' in the CD project properties menus. Tried Disc at Once and Track at Once, but still, Nero allows me to add sessions (when it's supposed to be closed already). Any help? Thanks.
Hey all, im a little confused. My new buslink 48x drive (which is a lite-on) doesn't appear to have the ability to test/test and burn in nero... the options are grayed out for me.
Is that just how they are or what? It seems a little strange that they wouldn't be able to do it..
Edit: actually i guess it can, just not using the wizard right? i see the simulate checkbox in the more ...
I installed a Buslink cd-rw in my old computer. It came with Nero 5.5. Now I got a new computer and am clueless about using the Nero I already have. Should it work, or does it only work with the old Buslink it came with? Is there something I have to do to make it work with the new one (which came built-in to the computer, and is NEC brand)? Thanks.
Hey all, when I'm using an older version of nero right now (5.0.1.6 OEM) which works fine right now.
I tried using newer versions of nero before, and when i am trying to create an audio cd, i drag songs from audio cds, it goes very slowly (this is not burning, just making the playlist for my new cd), and i have no clue why. So i have been just sticking with the old nero ...
After burning my Data CD's, I check the burn using Nero CD Speed. However, I am wondering how concerned I need to be with the results. Sometimes when using CD Quality Check, I will get one or two errors. Checking with Scandisc, sometimes I will get surface errors and othertimes not. The file check never finds any errors. :-?
For some reason, whenever I burn a DVD+R disc with Nero on my sony drive, the burning process will progress to 100%, and then I'll get an error window that says 'Invalid Command.' This doesn't happen with DVD+RWs (I haven't checked -Rs yet), and I can burn DVD+Rs using a different writing program. I'd appreciate anyones ideas.
I'm using version 5.5.9.17 demo and the 'd' firmware.
I installed In CD 3.51.61 in Win98, I like it because now you can use the drive's eject button so I desinstalled DCD on Win2K and install InCD, but here I can't use the drive's eject button, also sometimes when I eject CD the PC reboots without even a BSOD, So I decide to get back DCD on Win2K :(
