52X speed---but isn't the current technology only designed to be used at

I think the drive may be falsified.

I have a batch of these disks (labeled EMTEC 16x), and today one of them failed on me. My burner (ASUS CRW4816A) allows me to burn these disks at 32x but I never burned them above 24x (most of them were burned at 8x on a Teac 8x8x32x burner, and on my ASUS I usually burn them at their rated speed - that's 16x).
