The choice of cd-r's where I live is quite small Haven't found any Verbatim, fuji or stuff like that, mostly: TDK's and Sony (made in europe)...
finally I found Maxell CD-R 80 XL-S (X48) 50 cd spindle -
I know that Maxell has a bad rep, but these cd's where made in japan so I took a chance - maybe they r Taiyo Yuden...
can any1 give me his impression of these cd's????

I have the latest nero, and when I 2 use the CD-SPEED and try 2 run some tests it just doen't work:

it loads the "spin up drive" screen (though the CD-ROM itself appears to do nothing), and I get the following error message:

"Error - PARAMETER VALUE INVALID (052602)".
furthermore, when I try 2 test a quality of some of my cd's (original and burned) it behaves very strangely:
the graph runs red like ...

Hi all

I've managed to lose my installation CD for my Sony CRX215E1 writer, and have had to format my machine, damn windows!

I cant get the writer to detect in any burn software :cry:


can anyone help???

i have tried to burn ( clone or simple cut an past - i dont remember ) original audio cd and my 5.1.30 nti cut 2-3 second from the begining of every track. why?( my cd is sony crx210a1) :cry:

Just a quick question, Found the OPTORITE 5002 with 8 Meg catch, for 45+5s/h=50$ I cant find any optorite reviews of there past units or if this unit supports MT.R format. Looking at upgrading from my 12x10x32 Liteon.
This looked like a good deal.

I am using Nero 5.5 (I think that is the version) on a LiteOn CD cd burner (16x) to burn audio CDs. It seems to burn okay but halfway through listening to the songs, the track is blank and the next track starts skipping.

When I reboot and burn the CD it seems to work fine. So is this a memory issue with my PC?
