which nero version should i use while dealing with sony crx210a1 burner?
my 5.5.8 version does'nt recognize it.
by the way, i have nti 5.1.30. i try to use it and it cut 2 second from every song i tried to burn. why?

Last week I wanted to save some data onto a CDR at work. My colleague has a new PC with burner (Artec 48/16/50), so I pulled out a Verbatim Ultraspeed-RW. No go- it wants to write this at 4x. OK, I had a CDR with an open session, but it was started with Win-On-CD. I hadn't continued one of these with Nero, and was not in the mood for experiments (I was in a hurry). ...

I installed the latest version...used a memorex cd-rw...formatted disc....opened explorer and I can't drag files onto that drive...the InCD icon in the tray is a green arrow pointing up and when I right click on it and choose properties it says the disc has 503mb's free space. What am I doing wrong here...or is it that my disc is bad? I was just gonna use this one packet cd for doing updates to my slimx ...

Just wondering what brand of blanks you have used that successfully burned at 2x? While you're at it, what brands have you used, where did you get it from, what speed did they burn at and how much was it? I'll post in the following format as I rummage through my junk for my data:

I just bought memorex 48x blanck cdr, but i can burn at the maximum speed of 16x. With smartbuy cdr, i can burn up to 24x. what blanck cdr do you use who works at 32x with this burner

I want to modify my old ioctl/aspi read functions (i.e 0xbe) to support raw reads from dvd's. My problem is i dont know how to fill the passed structure correctly. For example do i set the buffer size to nsectors*2064 instead of nsectors*2352 as used on cdrom's and so on. This info will really help a lot in the project im doing.

So I would say its not a simply rebranded DRU500A.

I do notice that when you eject a cd, the tray rattles on its way out. Surprised by the fact that I have many low-end cd-r writer which have smoother tray mechanism.

I just got a GCE-8520B and I have two problems:

1) Windows show the right info about the driver, but I still can't burn in full speed (max 40x in nero or cloneCD) and CDRwin will not find it.

2) When I want to duplicate a audio CD (Nero or CloneCD) stats that there is no media inside the driver. Even when I want to play audio CD with winamp or musicmatch.
