I have a liteon SOHW-1633S model, and I upgraded the firmware to the latest from www.liteonit.com... well, the problem is that it doesn't recognize the BENQ DVD-R 4.7 GB as a dvd. My computer keeps recognizing it as a blank CD.

when I try to burn 4 gb, it says there is not enough room (obviously), but I can't make it read as a normal DVD.

I am about to purchase the Plextor PX-712A 12xDVD+ 8xDVD- 4xDVD+/-RW 16xDVD 48x24x48x CD-RW. Is there anything I should know about it before I go, is there any problems, any firwamre issues. Anything to do with different versions of the drive released.

Are there any known issues with the DRU-710A? After installing mine, it doesn't recognize any typr of media.

Purchased Sony DRU-710A. Installed drive and whenever I insert a blank disc, the drive doesn't recognize it with Nero. Any ideas?
