After re-formatting my pc i then wanted to reload all my programs that i had saved to disc the disc had not been closed and finalized.

I had around 50 programs including a lot of business files 'invoices, letter headings, business cards etc.

After copying only 6 programs from the disc it crashed and the whole disc is now corrupted.

I need burn longer than 64 chars file names with something like DirectCD (on CD-RW). It's should be like Romeo format (128 chars) instead of Joliet (64 chars), like in CDMate program. But I need direct copying support like DirectCD or InCD. Anybody knows such support?

I have been told (corrected) by two people that using Roxio DirectCD, you can "format CD-R discs and use them exactly like a CD-RW".... !!! I only use Nero InCD, thus I am unfamiliar with this claim. Can I erase CDrws using Nero5's deep erase option on CDrws that were DirectCD 5 formatted to reuse with DCD? I have DCD custom installed and have no DCD erase option. Just wondering, please advise.

Does any one have these two installed and working OK?
I've been getting hangs and freezes when trying to restore a DI2002, spanned CD image set in WinXP Sp1. When DI asks for the last segment, the DI screen just freezes.

I just got EZCD Basic installed to see if it is better than Nero. When I go to tools,CD Drives Properties it reads that my CDRW can only write 8x nad I know it writes 32x. Any ideas? I've installed all updates up to 5.3.4.21a. Is it just becuase I got the basic OEM version and I would have to buy the Platinum?

I had a LG' series Cd writer that came already installed on my hard drive ,It came with the Adaptec Easy Cd Cretor software. I loved it because it was so user friendly. Recently the software stopped working , told me that There was no supported Cd recorders found on my system.

i run ECDC 5 plat on XP.
all i do is burn CDs i don't care about DVD at all.
is there any improvement in ECDC 6 CD burner over ECDC 5?
i know the UI is different but is there any new/better functionality?
