News of Sonic Solutions and Roxio

After installing a new hard drive and WinXP and SP2, I keep gettting a blue stop screen in my Dell I8600 indicating a problem with the tsfnisf.sys driver. This seems to be the main DLA drive. I'm have the most current up date, Dell's R90275 and have updated all othe drivers.. Any help is appreciated.

What are the disk space requirements for installing the update?
It seems that the update is not very bright about placing its temporary files.

Win 2000 is on the C drive, with only about 368MB available, but the Roxio directory is in Program Files on the D drive with about 1.5GB available.

Yet when I try to apply the update, I run out of room on C, apparently for the following reasons:

I have a copy of Nero 6.? I've not been very impressed with Nero.

Should I spring for the extra $2 ??? #-o

At present I have two HP computer,one running WinXP using "Record Now" (Sonic) that came with Win XP on the HP computer. Adaptec "EZ CD Creator v #5-Platinum on second HP computer and "Nero" on Dell Laptop and an old Compac Laptop that will not read most CD's I burn. I gave up using Drag & Drop between the machines. When I run the update it first detected that an old version was installed and attempted to update it, but then failed. After that I try to run it and it says it is an update to version 6.7 which is not installed, so ...

I bought the decoder pack so the family could watch DVD's on our computer. We normally use Windows Media Player, so I got this to suppliment the WMP, as recommended by MS. I downloaded the Pack and installed it on the computer, simple enough.
Now my problem, it does not decode some of my DVD's. I read the FAQ on the Sonic site and it said that some DVD's might not be readable. OK, but ...

i'm using recordnow7.3 wiith nec nd-6500a burner, all of which camw with my dell laptop.

i cannot do exact copy of video on dvd -r and dvd +rw disc media. It read the original dvd fine, and asks me to insert a blank dvd disc, it then tries to read the disc, and ejects it without any expalinations, and requesting again that a blank disc be inserted
