Optorite HDBurn is causing issues with DVD Burn

Postby P1Tom on Sun Aug 24, 2003 9:19 pm

Has anyone had an issue after using HDBurn? Here is the issue I have come across. I burned a few DVD's Saturday and then I burned some Data using HDBurn and then I went back and burned another DVD and it made a coaster. The very first coaster every. It was all on there but no player in my house could play it without it getting stuck. So I thought maybe it was just a bad DVD so I tried another one and I got a Power Calibration Error from Nero 6. On DVD Media that I have burned over 12 times with no problems whatsoever. I found that very odd and the only thing I could think I did different then ever before was use HDBurn. So anyway I reset my computer and tried again and it burned with no problems at all. So I am convinced that HDBurn put the drive in some kind of writting mode that screws up DVD Burning if you try to do it right afterwards... Just my opinion but it's the only thing that makes sense. Has anyone else had this issue?

Later Much,
Tom

No Problem like that either. Maybe you should Re-Flash your drive to 2.16 or if that won't work, try re-installing Nero. I had an issue with HD-Burn not being detected by nero issue, re-installing nero fixed that problem.

Good luck!
