Pine Dual Format DVD Burner

Postby eagleskys on Mon Jul 28, 2003 6:33 pm

Hi everyone

I have just learned that the Pine Dual Format DVD burner is now released. Does anyone know if it is the exact Pioneer OEM or a different make? I have been unable to get this info, and would appreciate your help. Thanks.

Judging by the picture on the box, it looks like a Pioneer DVR-106D (at least the one I saw from FutureShop).

That's my guess too. I have a Pine +R R/W and it says right on the box, "Drive by NEC".

A friend just picked up this Pine drive and it's a rebadged Pioneer (i guess A06?). Both internal and external versions were Pioneers. So depending on the stock it could be either NEC or Pioneer.
