Pioneer 108 and G05 Issues.

Hello To All.
Quick Question.

Is it possible to burn a G05 at any less than 4X ?
RecordNow Max allows me to choose 2X, but it burns at 4X
Nero CD DVD Speed says "will burn at 4X - 12X With this recorder".
It's not a problem, I just wondered why!!!!!!

I've read that 8X media cannot be burned slower than 4x on the Pioneer 108 over at www.rpc1.org. Perhaps they are running out of room to put write strategies in the firmware and dropped the slowest of speeds for faster media?
