Is there a changelog? I think I'll still be using Nero Recode though...

Cool...XP pretty much sucks, huh? Win2K is by far the best version of Windows.

Linux is still better, though! :P

I agree that win 2K is the best version of windows too. I have ran XP Pro for a long time till I switched to 2000. Much better.

hEY Guys,

Not to get off topic but I have been using DVD Shrink 3.1.7 to make back up my personal copies of DVD's. The resulting DVD is a shade darker than the original. Is this typical or not?

thats exactly what happens when you burn something onto dvds and cds

it all depends on the dye the manufacturer uses though

I'm guessing that you mean that the movie, when viewed on your TV, appears to be darker rather than that the physical DVD itself looks darker (which, if that is your question, hoxlund has already answered). Can you clarify?

This is exactly what I mean. Why when viewed on your TV is the movie darker? Is there any way to acheive better video quality? Maybe I'm asking a little too much, after all its better than VHS.

ive never heard of that problem, having a darker image on your tv, i guess it could be the connections between your dvd player and tv

if you burn a movie from dvd images or straight burn on the fly copy with nero recode 2, it shouldn't make a difference for picture

I have Nero 5.5 and not Nero recode 2, is that the problem?

no burning program is the same, you can still use nero express or regular nero to burn the dvd images that you ripped with dvdshrink or dvd decryptor

just a longer burning process, with recode 2 i do on the fly burning, so rips and burns at same time
