Is this news? ... Memorex 4x DVD+R 25-pk for $26 shipped

Amazon.com has Memorex 4x DVD+R 25-pks (cakebox) for $26.34. Shipping is free.

Also, I got the 10-pk (jewel cases) of Memorex 4x DVD+RW from OfficeMax.com for $19.98. (Shipping was around $5.)

Don't know whether either is Ricoh, but I would assume so. Decent enough deals for you??

I'll check my +RW shortly.

I wouldn't assume anything at this point since Memorex has been using CMC lately. 4x DVD+R media at a $1 or less is a good price point so the Memorex 100 pk spindle that Amazon.com is selling for $99.99 shipped free is a better deal. 4x DVD+RW at $2 or less is a good price point in my opionion. Obviously shipping and tax can increase the price-per-disc.

Better deal is relative. Do you want to pay $100 (minus 1 cent) for DVD media, i.e., do you really want 100 discs? If you don't need that many, (say suppose you only want 25 or less discs or maybe 50, etc.) the extra $1.34 per 25 is not very much at all. (Also what's in play is the more you get the less you pay.)

As I said before, I'll get back on whether the RWs are "coded" as Ricoh.

Mad Burner was correct not to assume -- at least about the RW discs. They are coded "Philips 041."

Have no knowledge of it ... Anyone know?

Addendum:
There seems to be a clue to this media here -- just a little one at that. A little help: the relevant info is near the end of thread.
