trying to read damaged CD

Postby msuiter on Fri Mar 19, 2004 8:47 pm

my wife has an original CD (not CD-R) and about 33% of it looks cloudy. she said it was in her player and doesn't know how it happened. neither of my CD drives will read it. any suggestions on trying to read it or what to use to attempt to clean it? thanks.

It sounds like heat damage, use IsoBuster to rip.
Use rubbing alcohol to clean, start from the spindle going to the edge.
I hope she doesn't have one of those car visor CD holders, sunlight and heat are a CD's worst enemy.
