No Recorder Detected in Basic DVD

Postby Turkeyscore.com on Fri Apr 09, 2004 10:31 pm

Just got "Easy" CD & DVD Creator 6 Basic DVD (oem one) I have a nec2500a and it wont detect a recorder, i burned 2 dvds already with TMPEG DVD Trial, but the trial ran out and i dont have the money to buy it, so i bought the roxio for temporary use, but it wont detect my burner....any idea why, i updated it already, but still the same, it will let me make an iso image...takes about 2 hours for a full disc :-?

Then when i try to burn anything with this software, it wont work....i shoulda got nero eh?

they just didn't add the nec 2500a to there program, which is surprising

but a friend of mine had that stuff bundled with his 2500a, i bought the bulk version right before the version with software had a major price drop...i guess ill have to make the ISO with roxio and burn it with various trial softwares till i get TMPEG full version...or i could reformat every month

Hey hox,
the drive is in the supported drive list. You can see the same on the link below,

http://rpp.roxio.com/drives/?page=suppo ... ives&ltr=N

I guess the OEM version that Turkeyscore.com uses did not come up with a NEC drive or that it is not updated.

AFAIK basic versions of Roxio uses the same engine as "full products".

Also basic versions (OEM) works with different drives, not specific drive model like Ahead's OEM.
