CDWRITER IDE5224

Burn baby burn!

CDWRITER IDE5224

Postby szvpvp on Thu May 06, 2004 11:46 pm

Seems as though my 2nd CD Drive (CDWRITER IDE5224)
is intermittently not being recognized. Usually a reboot will fix it. Then low and behold sometime later when I go to burn a CD the darn thing dosn't show up. Only my one CD drive that I read from. Anyway, I have updated the Aspi stuff...still no go ....don't recall who makes the drive all I ever see on it when it does happen to show up is CDWRITER IDE5224.
I would like to know how to reload drivers for it or something. Any leads would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Have a great day!!

well maybe upgrade firmware, use this program to see the firmware version and maybe better understanding of who makes drive:

http://flashman.rpc1.org/Firmware/DVD-C ... detect.exe

also make sure dma is enabled, also system specs would be nice

As far as who makes it is concerned, it's a BTC.
