i saw some chapters recently, they were showing on a cable channel that is rather esoteric...

i still had a couple of months ago a toy Thunderbird 2. with landing gear - legs that spring out when you pressed a button.
and the cargo hull would come out, and from inside it - a small Thunderbird 4 :D
that was extremely cool at the time! :D :D
i'm not sure i still have it, might have thrown it away when i moved 2 months ago.

Wow! :o I go away for a day or so and look what I miss! Pranav81, Wicked1, Alejandra, BuddhaTB... everyone (well, okay not everyone but a lot of people) are joining in!

Dodecahedron and Alenjandra, what is this "Thunderbirds" of which you speak? It sounds vaguely familiar, like a serialized anime I watched a little bit while I was in college, but I can't find a good link to it (too many cars and AMD processors show up in google).

Don't make threats unless you intend to carry them out! :x I really mean it! Tempting... er, I mean threatening us with a full screen version and then failing to deliver is really cruel...  8)

Isn't that just typical of men? Sure, we pretend to be interested in noble and cerebral causes like helping others with their optical drive troubles, but in the end it is beer and pretty women that really keep our attention...

Anyway, I'm glad you went looking for us and found this, then decided to join us in all our pursuits. :)

It was a sixties series of marionettes called Thunderbirds, a non profit, no goverment organization called International Rescue that helped people in the most dagerous situations, it was quite good for its time.

WOW!
you have the package of the toy so many years later ?? :o i'm impressed.

mine looks very much like this, but it was metallic dark sky-blue, with yellow landing gear. i don't remember if it had the stripes on the wing and the front of the hull.
also the Thunderbird 4 i have, i dont' think it had all those paintings and decals on it, just red for the exhaust and black for the windshield. as i recall.
i'll have to look and see if i still have it.

i'm still amazed of the coincidence of discovering someone else who has this toy! :D
