One of my stories. A customer returned his computer the next day. It was a full tower case back in the Pentium 166 days. He asked the sales guy when he baught it if there were dust filters for PC's and he said "yes". Well when he returned it complaining of "constantly locking up", I opened it to find nothing but FOAM!!!! Foam rubber filling every inch of the computer. In further inspection I found he plugged every hole with tape. The sales man asked me whats going on with the computer and I suggested a full refund. The sales man asked why, and I replied "This guy is too stupid to use a computer" and showed him the foam. The customer had his refund in no-time.

Fortunatly PC's in those days were not as "heat critical". Do that with todays Athlon or even P-4's and you will fly it in seconds. There was nothing wrong with the PC once the foam was removed.

The next day, the customer came back. He asked for his foam back because he got a new PC. I would have given it back, but it was thrown away.

BDOS error.

Thats simply stupid. How could anybody use foam in a computer???
