We will paste the photo on some websites that are frequented by dodeca with a heading like "LOST!" or "HAVE YOU SEEN HIM LATELY?!"

:) :) :)

Let's hope he and his family are okay!!

The mid-east is so unstable, one has to be concerned.

Dodecahedron, please let us know you're okay!

Dodecahedron: FOUND!

I just got off the phone with dodecahedron, and he and his family are doing just fine. He has been out of touch recently for two reasons. First, he has been terribly busy at work. Second, his computer went belly up three weeks ago and he has been fighting through a little mini-saga to get it repaired properly. In the meantime he hasn't been logging in and hasn't been able to read his email.

Dodecahedron did ask me to convey his thanks for everyone's concern and to reassure you that he is fine. He hopes to be back on the air next week.

In case you haven't noticed, I'm back too. I also have been very busy with work in addition to helping my friends and family with a variety of personal matters.

For those of you who missed us, dodecahedron and I have resolved to try to attend to CDRLabs with a more even moderation instead of the feast or famine mode (read everything and make tons of posts versus don't log in at all) that has been typical for us. For those of you who found our absence to be refreshing, well, I guess all good things must come to an end...

YAY!!!

Welcome back CFitz!! You have been well missed by most, if not all of us here

I'm happy to hear that Dodecahedron is doing alright too! :D

I'm looking forward to once again benefitting from your collective wisdom :)

Wow, guys, you really care for each other, i'm very astonished, make me be emotional.

Also, I had enough things to do, I didn't post much, but tried to read at least every day the forums.

Thanks everyone.

@dolphinius_rex: Heck, I expect to be learning from you! I've been gone too long and forgotten everything, while you've kept busy and obviously are perfecting your test and evaluation skills.

@Alejandra: Sure we care for each other! :) Not all men are knuckle dragging cretins.

@CowboySlim: Yeah, I missed Alejandra and her avatar parade. How about this high fashion one?

I love a woman in a stylish hat. :) Of course, this same woman looks a bit too frightening for me in some of her other pics, e.g.:

@VEFF and pranav81: Thanks. Good to be back.

@Ian: Thanks Ian. I was afraid I might be persona non-grata around here since I still owe you stuff. By the way, I haven't forgotten that stuff. So there is no need to send JamieW to knock on my door with his collection of "toys". (Of course, I propably would enjoy seeing some of JamieW's toys)

I'd too would love to goto the range with JamieW. No reason to worry about a gun pointed at you unless you have given the person pointing it at you a reason to squeeze the trigger. :-? I have had loaded guns aimed at me a few times in my life with a person thats pissed off on the other end. First time is scary after that it isnt that bad as long as your confident in your spirituality.

Who said anything about them being pointed at me?

I wouldn't enjoy seeing your car if you were behind the wheel, flooring the accelerator and steering it at me. I wouldn't enjoy seeing your Cessna if I were standing next to the propeller while you started the engine. I wouldn't enjoy seeing your hair dryer if you handed it to me, plugged in, while I was in the bathtub. I wouldn't enjoy seeing your oven if my head was in it and you turned it on to broil.

Is there some broader point here?

I never thought that, and that is one of the things I like from this forum.

Gothic has that ability, sometimes it could be very atractive but others could be very frightening or disgusting.

To paraphrase Lincoln:

All men are knuckle dragging cretins some of the time, and some men are knuckle dragging cretins all of the time, but not all men are knuckle dragging cretins all of the time.

I'm glad we could demonstrate some male behavior beyond grunt and bash.

I'll agree with that. I thought some of the outfits were quite nice in their own style, but others just creeped me out.

I wouldn't mind taking Jamie and his arsenal out to the Mojave and shooting off a couple of hundred rounds. (Just not at the full cans and certainly not after we empty them!) :P
