<sarcasm>Yes Monte, we install spyware on all of your computers. Do not resist. You will be assimilated.</sarcasm>

Come on Monte, you know us better than that. #-o You also know that the ads keep us afloat by paying hosting costs, etc. Without it, you wouldn't be able to come here and tell us all about your love life.

I don't mind ads... it's sites with big annoying pop-ups that piss me off...

On that note, I really hate CDRlabs's annoying popup that comes up from time to time... but at least it's only *Time to Time* !!!

They only come up once per day or once per session. And the big ones are pop behinds. I think you guys can live with it.

I have no problems w/ the ads. I've learned alot from this site and have received a great deal of help. And if these pop-ads/ads are what keeps this place running and helping many noobies like me, well let it be so.

Not yet. It's one of the things we're thinking about offering.

I can live with them, especially since it keeps this great site free.
Besides, once they have popped up (once per session), they won't return unless you close the pop up windows.

Easier remedy? Ad Subtract Pro

But, yeah, I would pay if it meant improvements on the site, or keeping it up. As long as you don't want some ridiculous amount like $5 per *MONTH*.

What's this "pop-up" thingie I keep hearing about?

Gotta love Firebird (yes, FireBIRD, not Firefox. Firefox (esp. the newest one) sucks. I like Opera best, but, can't live w/o Firebirds plugins (ie: ADBLOCK).

For the record, I leave the banners on for this site (one of only two sites I let display ads, all others if I see a banner, it gets blocked). Pop-ups totally defeat the purpose of tabbed browsing, though. So no go.

I guess the pop-up means a small window that displays some text as "You are visitor no. something.....".It opens occassionally on my computer, not everyday.
