SVCD & Nero

Postby communist on Sun Jul 11, 2004 1:20 pm

Hi guys,

I am completely new to burning SVCD's and VCD's. Here is the problem that I run into. I want to burn a DIVX avi file which is 699 MB in size. I heard that a cd-r can burn upto 800mb for svcd's.

So I put in Nero and enabled overburning for 82mins. I first tried to brun it as an SVCD, when I drag the 699mb file into the contents of the disk section, Nero shows it as a 745MB file. Then I made an image of this, so that I did not have to encoded it again and again. The image is now 845MB. As a result Nero tells me that my current media (a 700mb CD-RW) is small for this image and I cant burn it.

Any suggestions?

I am using the default encoder in Nero 5.5 for SVCD.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks in advance,

Communist.
