CD-RW cannot be recognised on Discman

Postby pajamas on Sat Jul 17, 2004 12:57 am

I have a Panasonic Portable CD player. It can read CD-R discs but not CD-RW. I tried high speed CD-RWs and low speed CD-RWs and the player won't play. I used iTunes' CD burning program. The CD-RWs can work on my hi-fi though. Is there any way to "trick" the discman in playing?

The CD-RW's usually have low reflectance. If the player is more than couple of years old, then it probably doesnt support reading CD-RW's.I have a old 32X Creative CD-ROM that reads CD-R's and doesnt read CD-RW's.But I also have a Samsung CD-ROM that is about 6 years old and reads all the discs without any problems.

No way to "trick" the Discman, just use CD-R's instead. Or, buy a new Discman...they are pretty cheap nowadays.
