Click'N Burn Pro 2.0

Knowing that Norton Ghost did not support my Lite-On 24X (LTR-24102B) (2 or 3 months ago, anyway), I went to Stomp's web site to see if my burner was supported. Their list is rather dated, 07-24-01, and lists no Lite-On burners >16X, but they direct you to a download page. The descriptive information for the Click 'N Burn download (patch) says that more burners are supported, but the download, as expected for a patch, is an ".exe" file. So, I (still) don't know if my Lite-On is supported. I certainly don't want to buy a program that I can't use....

I sent Stomp an e-mail and asked them. I also asked if their program will let me save my "My Documents" folder of saved web pages, since Nero stops me cold with their ISO/file name error messages. I hope they answer, as I could not provide a product serial number. Your support request is limited to about 246 characters. My questions were abbreviated.

FYI, for anyone else considering this program, as I am. I'll post any info I receive from Stomp.

I did a little poking around.

http://www.stompinc.com/clicknburn/sdl_index.phtml?stp

Their list of drives is not the best. Its not broken down by brand very well, but if you know what model your drive is, you can figure out whats going on.

If you look under "CD-RW" you'll see that there are a bunch of Lite-On 24x writers supported, including the LTR-24102B.

I will ask them about the backup stuff.. 2 days and no response? That sucks.. but unfortunately its fairly normal these days.

Thanks, Ian. That web page of supported burners is the same one I found.

I recently have had some success with Nero. I'll go over to the Ahead Sofware forum and reply to myself.

But this Click 'N Burn has that HDD backup feature, which is what I'm (still) interested in.

(I have no idea how my last post was repeated.)

Finally received a reply from Stomp, Inc.:

Yes, your recorder is supported under the latest version. Please
download the latest update. http://www.stompinc.com/support/downloads.html

So, for anyone with a 24X Lite-On and interested in Click 'N Burn, you're all set.
