I bought two units two weeks ago.

It has a IEEE 1394a port and USB 2.0 port. I tried WD 1600LB/BB HDD drives and several DVD drives with the case. Both USB 2.0 and IEEE 1394 connections seem to work alright with two drives in one case. But there's only one P-ATA IDE/UDMA cable in each case. That probably means two drives share one P-ATA channel, unfortunately. So one has to be Master and the other has to be Slave.
