Plextor Premium-U 52/32/52 - body made of aluminum?

You Plextor external drive owners out there....
A mundane question, perhaps, but is this Plextor housing made of aluminum like many USB 2.0 external boxes are? Anyone know?

The external case is plastic. The drive is their standard ATAPI drive, so the drive meets all the FCC and European specs for emissions and safety. Doesn't need additional shielding. The actual drive enclosure is steel.

Thanks for the info.
I'm a little confused. Ian reported in his review that the body is made of metal. Are you saying the USB external enclosure is steel, or plastic?

The actual physical drive housing is steel and contains the ATAPI drive. This is mounted to another metal enclosure containing a fan and USB/Firewire bridge board. The assembly is mounted in the plastic exterior enclosure.
