The latest classic Bushism

Postby cfitz on Sat Aug 07, 2004 12:12 pm

Has anyone found an mp3 clip of the latest classic Bushism:

"Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we."

One of my friends didn't hear it and wants to.

LOL saw that on the news here...
One Ring to rule them all, One Ring to find them,
One Ring to bring them all and in the darkness bind them
In the land of Mordor, where the Shadows lie

You've got to hook up the speakers, Kennyshin. Without the audio it's nothing.

By the way, thanks for the mirror.

75,000 Won or about US$65. It's a Daenyx product, one of the former Daewoo companies. Daenyx seems to have disappeared so the speakers are offered at very low prices now! :D

I had a Daewoo TV, broke pretty quick, within 2 years, got it cheap on Black Friday at BestBuy. For that price on those speakers, you can't go wrong though.

They look quite nice, but how do they sound? That is the most important point, and the one that you alone are best able to judge. Can you audition them in person before buying?

A couple of months ago I purchased a KLH 5.1 speaker system with powered subwoofer, sight unseen (or should I say sound unheard ;) ). I figured how could I go wrong for $30? The satellites have 3.5" mid-range drivers and 1" tweeters. The "subwoofer" has a 6" driver and 50-watt amp (I think).

I don't regret the purchase at the price, and I am glad to have a 5.1 speaker set for so little money, but I have to admit they aren't very good quality. Oddly enough, they are weakest in the treble range, not the bass. In terms of pure sound quality (neglecting the surround aspect), my old Yamaha YST-MS50 2.1 system blows them away. You don't get what you don't pay for... 8)

By the way, does the amp in the subwoofer of the system you posted power just the subwoofer, or does it also drive the satellites? If it also powers the satellites it is an even better bargain. You can then hook it directly to your computer's sound card.

I've got to stop reading them.

I was reading the 'astronauts' one when I answered a 911 call and nearly burst out laughing. Now that would be hard to explain afterwards...
