Drive with shorter length

Postby pika2000 on Thu Aug 05, 2004 1:37 am

Hi, I'm planning to build a SFF PC. I'm looking for a DVD-ROM drive that has a shorter length then usual drive (ie. like Lite-on drives). The only brand I know that has shorter drive length is Lite-on. Any other brands? I heard Sony uses Lite-on, so presumably they're shorter too?

Thanks.

The Sony 16x dvd drive is short, but not a Lite-On as far as I know. It is quiet while the Lite On is a noise monster.

The shorter Liteon/jlms are 165, 166 and 167.
Sony 1611 = liteon163 = long
Sony 1612 = Liteon 166 = short
Sony 1613 = Liteon 167 = short
Sony 1621 = BTC 316B = long
All the best, dimitri (a.k.a digi, mango)
