Small test : double layer and DVD reader compatibility

Postby ItalianJob on Mon Aug 16, 2004 5:13 am

A small DVD+R DL compatibility test I just post here.

The burn was made with Nero 6.3.1.20 on a NEC 2510 stock 2.16 firmware with bitsetting set to DVD-ROM (with WinBType). The media was a Verbatim (MKM) 2.4X Double Layer bought in Germany for 12.90 euros.

[With DVD-ROM bitsetting] the following DVD burner/readers were tested (read of 1st and second layer OK)

Model - Status

Philips 737 (rev. C) - OK
NEC ND-2510A - OK
Toshiba DVD-ROM SD-M1712 - OK
Hitachi DVD-ROM GD-7500 - OK
Liteon DVD-ROM JLMS-XJ-HD 163 - OK
XBOX (first generation with a Thomson player) - OK

6 tests, 6 success : =D> to the DVD+R DL research teams everywhere !
Philips DVDR1668@BenQ DW1655 BCIB
BenQ DW1620 B7W9
LG GSA-4166B (dead)
NEC ND-2510A (retired)
